Hi from Ecuador!! I’ve been here for about a week and I am already THRIVING. I already love Ecuador more than Africa! Which I didn’t think would be possible! Ever since being here I have felt an overwhelming sense of being home. The Lord has filled me with so much hope for the next three months! Africa was so spiritually draining and so hard but since we landed here, I have felt such a sense of peace and growth. The Lord has opened my eyes to what he is doing  and what he is going to do and I cannot wait time see them be fulfilled!!!!

Now ministry!!! My team has been assigned to a ministry called Camp Hope. Which is a daycare for orphans/foster children with disabilities/special needs. We walk about two miles to ministry every day!!! Each of us have been assigned to separate classrooms. And I love it! It is so hard, considering no one speaks a lick of English and I kind of just have to catch on to what my teacher wants me to do. But I’m making it!!! My class consists five ADORABLE children. Two of which are wheelchair bound, two can walk but only with help, and the other can walk and talk. All of them are nonverbal except one and all have mental/behavioral disabilities. And I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

Pretty much my day consists of coloring with them in the mornings (it gets real interesting trying to understand what teacher Betty wants me to draw for them).  And throughout the day I take each of them on walks for about 40 minutes to an hour at a time. Just to let them get out of the class room and get some fresh air! During this time teacher Betty tells me I must talk to them and sing to them! So I do that! I get to sing to them about Jesus, even though they have no clue what I’m saying. I just want them to know that they are so loved by the Father. They are so beautiful and I just want to do everything in my power to help them.

I cannot imagine how hard these goodbyes are going to be after these next three months. Ugh thank you Jesus for this really hard, but REALLY rewarding ministry.

That’s all for now!  Thanks so much for reading! I love you all!
